There abound such systems: incredible, yet of a pleasant architecture or a sensationalist character. The metaphysicists of Tlön do not seek truth or even plausibility—they seek wonder. For them, metaphysics is a branch of fantasy literature. They know that a system is nothing but the subordination of all aspects of the universe to any given one of them.
